Associate Professor Angus Cameron is a specialist paediatric dentist and formerly Head of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Westmead Hospital.

Angus’ areas of interest are the management of children with special needs, paediatric dental trauma, dental and oro-facial anomalies, and paediatric oral medicine and pathology. He has been consulting on the Central Coast since 2008 and has rooms at the University of Newcastle as well as in Sydney.

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1984, Angus joined Westmead Hospital as a junior dental officer. He was the first to finish the specialist paediatric dentistry training program and was appointed Head of Department in 1997, a position he held for 18 years.

Angus is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England (FDSRCS), Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS), International College of Dentists (FICD) and Academy of Dentistry International (FADI). He also holds Membership in Paediatric Dentistry in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS)

Angus has the co-edited 2 textbooks and contributed to 7 other books. He continues to lecture extensively in Australia and internationally. He holds academic appointments at the University of Sydney, the University of Newcastle and Charles Sturt University and is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate specialist training.
