Please note the following restrictions are in place in regards to visitors to Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital.
Guidance regarding COVID-19
The World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a pandemic, meaning the virus is established on all continents (with the exception of Antarctica). We are continue to thank our patients, staff and their loved ones for their continued understanding during this ongoing evolving situation and support us as we work to continue to keep our staff and patients safe. In line with NSW Health guidance and infection control and patient quality safety measures please note the following:
Current Guidelines
As we prepare to return to 'COVID-normal’ we have updated our check in process to be done via the NSW Service QR Code and the following restrictions apply
Visiting Hours
10am-12pm and 6pm - 8pm daily
- Strictly only two visitors per patient, at any one time for strictly no more than two hours per visit.
- Children under 16 years (only one child at a time) may visit a patient in a 24 hour period for a maximum of two hours
- Masks are mandatory for all patients and visitors
Visitor Guidelines
All Visitors must:
- Have had two doses of a recognised vaccine (unless they have a medical exemption)
- Show evidence and proof of vaccination upon arrival
- Have not tested positive to COVID-19 within the last seven days
- Not be a high-risk contact of someone who has had COVID-19 in the previous 14 days
- Not have any COVID-19 symptoms
- Not have arrived from overseas in the past seven days.
- Provide evidence of a negative RAT if arrived from overseas 8-14 days ago
- Provide evidence of a negative RAT within 24 hours prior to attending
- Show evidence of at least 1 dose of vaccine (a child under 12 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult) if child is under 12 years of age
- Wear a surgical mask correctly on entry and for the duration of the visit
- Check in via the NSW Service QR Code
- Maintain appropriate hand hygiene and physical distancing practices (1.5m) with one person per 4 square metres
- Please visit NSW Health for all guidance around COVID-19 rules.
- All patients must undergo routine pre-admission screening for infectious diseases status. During the admission process, all patients will be COVID-19 screened.
Admission Requirements
- All those who attend our facility for treatment (including day treatment, surgical, rehabilitation and those with visitor exemptions) will be advised by the hospital if you are required to undergo a RAT or PCR test prior to admission.

- If you have been unwell, have COVID symptoms, are pending a COVID test result, or have been identified as a close contact please contact the hospital.
Upon entry to the hospital and during your visit, please practice simple hygiene by:
- Making sure to clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand rub
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow AND
Practice physical (social) distancing by:
- Attempting to keep a distance of 1.5 metres (5 feet) between you and other people where possible. If you are required to move closer than 1.5 metres, ensure that the time does not exceed 15 minutes
- Avoid shaking hands, hugging, touching or kissing other people or sharing food
- Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- Wear a face mask at all times, and after putting it on to cover your nose and mouth, do not touch the front of the mask and remove it using the ear loops or head straps
- Dispose of the used mask into a waste bin and perform hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol hand rub
